Open-peer review system

At a time of fierce competition, it is hard to regulate a fair and transparent critique of a certain piece of work. Some of the set-backs being rejection of papers by immediate competitors. Open-peer review to an extent, encourages and attempts to maintain a just system of peer-review and publication ethics.

By implementing an open-peer review system, the quality of the review, i.e. credibility of the reviewer and reviewer’s grasp on the subject is clearly projected. Although these features also serve as drawbacks to open-peer review system, the nature of the quality of reviews generated through this process remains unaffected.

As the reviewer comments are open for public view, one can easily distinguish between a genuine review and a fabricated one (that suggests that the reviewer is either a competitor or is less informed in the area under study).

Open peer-review serves as a broad, reliable and transparent platform for researchers across different fields, either laymen or professionals to get a clear analysis of a particular work that paves the way for a better analysis and understanding from a reader’s point of view.
